My sculptural practice resides in a long standing investment with the material culture of food production and consumption and my experiences  as butcher and cook. Taking the form of handmade objects, the work is informed by various sources from Palaeolithic hunter-gatherer tool societies to early-modern cutlery design to post-war food production. Through a variety of sculptural processes and material exploration, these objects come into being. Whether forged, cast, carved, or boiled, the purpose of these objects is to understand how our individual and collective experiences around food, consumption, ritual, tradition, and history are communicated.
